At Part & Parcel, we're committed to integrating our work with our values. For us, this means supporting a diverse group of artists, as well as being as environmentally responsible as possible. So, we choose to stock cards from designers with sustainability front of mind whenever we can. From recycled greeting cards to envelopes made from plantable seeds, these eco-friendly greeting card companies are pioneering a new way to send paper goodness.
Here are a few of our favorite sustainable greeting card companies. We hope you'll check them out and support them by purchasing and sending responsibly-created cards.
This sweet stationery line is focused on creating beautiful cards that are both elegant and sustainable! Seedlings cards feature plantable seed paper envelopes made up of 100% non-invasive wildflower seeds, so when the envelope is planted in a pot of soil, the seeds grow and the paper composts away. The seed paper is a biodegradable eco-paper made with post-consumer materials (no trees harmed). All that's left behind is flowers.
This charming card company is focused on simple, positive messages to help build heartfelt connection – a mission we can get behind! All the cards are printed on recycled paper, and the company is committed to supporting the environment through responsible business practices.
Our favorite nature-inspired card company is, of course, also focused on preserving the earth's resources. They use plant-based card sleeves that are biodegradable and fully compostable. Plus, all packaging materials that arrive to the studio in supply shipments are re-used for outgoing shipments.
This fun and cheerful card company decided to cut down on plastic waste a few years ago, so they transitioned to using Kard Klasps — a new way to package greeting cards and envelopes together with no plastic and no damage once removed. It's a small step that helps eliminate thousands of plastic sleeves each year, and the product is 100% recyclable.
All My Layers
A feminine and dreamy greeting card company that also celebrates the environment? Yes, please. All My Layers greeting cards are printed on FSC-certified paper using environmentally-friendly inks. Their cotton paper is made from 100% recovered cotton fibers and their envelopes come from mills that practice responsible, sustainable forestry using renewable energy sources such as hydro power or wind power.
This fun and quirky U.K. greeting card company ditched the plastic sleeves and now uses the new Kard Klasp to keep the envelope securely attached to the card. Plus, all the paper and envelopes are produced from sustainable forests and/or recycled materials.

Bright and playful designs with a focus on sustainability is a mission we can get behind. The company uses 100% recycled paper for 90% of their products and 90% of product packaging is plastic free with the use of compostable plant-based cello sleeves, which are biodegradable. Envelopes are made of 100% recycled paper and their printing production is powered by renewable energy in a waterless printing process that uses VOC-free inks. They've even stopped using plastic packaging tape and made the switch to kraft tape which is recyclable.
